Please enjoy Chapters One and Two to get up to speed here. This story takes place in south Texas where husband Ron used to go visit his grandmother a lot. He and I write together. We used to say, "He's the story, I'm the style", but over the years, His style has merged as my storytelling has and even our best readers can't tell when it's him or when it's me. Dialogue is easier though as we each control our own gender's in all the stories we write together. Hope you enjoy!
