Delta Point One
by Simon1973 As a young pre-medical student, I remember weeping when I saw a three-month-old preserved fetus--a tiny, perfect baby, gray in death, still with his thumb in his little mouth. I had seen murder committed before I was ten years old, even had survived an attempt on my own life; have had many adventures as a child and as an adult, but that image has stuck with me as few have done. And because I have borne my own children, I decided to write Delta Point One. The "Delta"or "Delta Point" is the sign of change in science and in life. That's why the end of the Mississippi is called the "delta" because it's inthe shape of that Greek letter,and it's the place where the river enters and 'becomes' the Gulf. Read more.
